BPI, through Legazpi Savings Bank (LSB) and BPI Foundation (BPIF), has partnered with the Department of Education (DepEd) to provide students nationwide with digital learning tools through a significant laptop donation program.

The initiative will distribute 243 tablets and laptops to schools across the country, helping bridge the digital divide and prepare students for an increasingly technology-driven world. LSB leads the partnership, working alongside BPIF and Accent Micro Technologies, Inc. (AMTI), a technology solutions provider.

“We at LSB are honored to play a pivotal role in this partnership with DepEd. By providing the tools necessary for digital learning, we are not only helping students prepare for global standards but also supporting teachers in fostering an environment of excellence and innovation,” said Jerome Minglana, LSB President.

Marcos, Jr., we are committed to bridge the digital divide and opening doors for our Filipino students. This collaboration underscores the power of the private sector in shaping a more inclusive and future-ready education system.”

The partnership extends beyond device donation, as BPI LSB collaborates with DepEd to strengthen teacher development through capacity-building initiatives and financial solutions focused on improving overall educator well-being.

This program reinforces BPI’s ongoing commitment to community development through education, digital empowerment, and strategic partnerships that drive sustainable progress.

Present at the donation ceremony were Carmina Marquez, BPIF Executive Director; Sec. Sonny Angara, Department of Education; Jerome Minglana, LSB President; Allyxon Cua, AMTI President; Manolo Nava, BPIF Senior Program Manager; Jenny Lacerna, BPI Mass Retail Head; Elfren Antonio Sarte, BPI LSB Chairman; and Josefino Paloma, AMTI EVP.
