BIANCA Pagdanganan faded in the homestretch when it mattered most yesterday, shooting a tournament-worst 75 and slumped into a seven-way tie for 32nd place at the end of the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G in Maineville, Ohio early yesterday morning (Sunday in the US).
Tied for sixth entering the final round, Pagdanganan had a woeful back nine pockmarked by bogeys on hole Nos. 12, 14 and 17 on top of a double bogey on No. 15 that dragged her down to a 280 total over the par-72, 6,7505-yard layout.
The 2019 Philippine Southeast Asian Games double gold medalist took home $12,894 (around P1.14 million) while winding up 15 shots behind New Zealand star Lydia Ko, who blitzed the opposition with an eagle-aided 63 to bag her third US LPGA title of the season.
