Why orgy scene is the hardest to shoot for Sid

‘His most talked-about scene in “Virgin Forest” is the orgy scene under a waterfall which is seen in the trailer.’

SID Lucero has a new TV series, GMA’s “The Fake Life” that starts airing on Monday, and a new Vivamax movie, “Virgin Forest” that streams on June 24. What are his roles?

“In ‘The Fake Life,’ I play the main antagonist, Mark,” he says. “I used to be the boyfriend of Beauty Gonzalez but I left her to go abroad, so she married Ariel Rivera and they have a happy, peaceful family life. But I come back and mess it up as I’m obsessed to get back Beauty at all cost.”

How about in “Virgin Forest”? This is not a remake of the 1985 Peque Gallaga costume movie, but an original material set in modern times.

“I play Francis, a photojournalist assigned in the jungles of Bukidnon. While traveling in the mountains with Vince Rillon as my guide, I discover an illegal logging operation and a prostitution ring headed by Alma Moreno.”

This is where he meets Angeli Khang and Kat Dovey, victims of human trafficking. He helps them and puts his own life in danger. His most talked-about scene in “Virgin Forest” is the orgy scene under a waterfall which is seen in the trailer. He is surrounded by six women and they are all naked.

“Honestly, mahirap siyang i-shoot. It’s painful kasi the rocks are sharp so masakit humiga.

We all had bruises as we’re all naked. It’s not easy as we’re standing there on that small rock and there’s nowhere to rest any part of your body. And we’re all naked, so respetuhan na lang. Anumang sexual fantasy ang nasa isip ko, it just died. Gusto ko na lang matapos ang shoot.”

Angeli Khang is really the busiest Vivamax sexpot. She’s now seen in the movie “Pusoy” and will soon be seen again ‘Virgin Forest.” She has also started taping her first streaming series, “Wag Mong Agawin ang Akin,” directed by Mac Alejandre who helmed her in her biggest hit, “Silip sa Apoy.”

“In ‘Wag Agawin,’ I play an escort girl. As a child, my mom abandoned me so may emptiness sa puso ko dahil hinahanap ko pa rin ang nanay ko. My mom is Jamilla Obispo who got rich and later on, we’ll compete for one man’s attention without knowing mag-ina kami.”

What can she say to bashers who claim that all she does is to disrobe for the camera?

“Even if I’m doing sexy roles, I’m just thankful and honored na napunta ko sa ganitong path ng buhay and career ko. Hindi madali ang ginagawa namin sa harap ng camera, but as an actor, there’s always a lot to learn. Hopefully, I will be given more challenging dramatic roles in the future. I just believe in myself na makakaya ko whatever role they give to me.”

Ramon de Ocampo plays Hamlet at the Antaeus Theater in Glendale, California as it launches its new theater season. He is one of the busiest Filipino actors in the US as he has done plenty of TV shows and movies in Hollywood. He has done other Shakespearean roles but “Hamlet” is his toughest role.

“I think anyone who’s played Hamlet realizes it’s the biggest role they’ll ever play,” he says.

“So many established actors have played it on stage and in film. Hamlet’s grief on the murder of his father and the betrayal of his mother make for great drama. I’m moved by the drawn-out family relationships, the idealization of a father and the struggle with a mother and what happens in their conflict. There’s a big sequence with Hamlet and his mother that asks if mothers and sons can come to terms with their faults and understand each other, and I hope I do it justice.”

Ramon was born in the Philippines, the son of former finance secretary Robert Ocampo who’s the current chairman of Veterans Bank. An accomplished television, film, stage, and voice actor, Ramón was raised just outside of Washington, DC, in Virginia. He graduated with a BFA (summa cum laude) in Acting from the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama in Pittsburgh.
