Ocean Park Hong Kong, one of Asia’s most iconic resort destinations, has reopened after the pandemic, inviting visitors to explore the wonders of Hong Kong through exciting rides, close animal encounters, and thoughtfully designed exhibits that blend fun with education.
“With the addition of Water World Ocean Park and two five-star resort hotels, Ocean Park Hong Kong now offers a unique and holistic leisure and entertainment experience,” said Ivan Wong, chief executive of Ocean Park Corporation, during a luncheon briefing. “Recognizing the trend towards green tourism and cultural immersion, we have seized the opportunity to promote conservation and education. Through enjoyable experiences, we aim to connect visitors with nature and raise ecological awareness.”
For thrill-seekers, Ocean Park offers a range of world-class rides and cultural experiences. Festive events include Summer Splash 2024 (July to August) and Halloween Fest 2024 (September to October).
Ocean Park Hong Kong features 20 animal habitats with different conservation messages. These animal ambassadors charm visitors and inspire environmental protection.
At Croco Land, visitors learn about protecting local biodiversity, meeting Passion, a rescued non-native crocodile.
Additionally, guests experience AI magic as sloths star in famous artworks at the Sloth and Friends Studio, raising awareness for endangered species.
Animal lovers can explore different species and conservation efforts through Ocean Park Hong Kong’s Get Closer to the Animals series.
Water World Ocean Park Hong Kong, which opened in September 2021, complements Ocean Park with 27 indoor and outdoor facilities across themed zones. Whether for family relaxation or adventure with friends, the fun park offers something for everyone.
According to Wong, the resort’s international hotels — Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel and The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong — offer excellent accommodation, recreation, and dining options.
In his speech, Wong highlighted Ocean Park’s focus on conservation and education as a top choice for Hong Kong trips.
“In addition to thrilling rides, Ocean Park Summer Splash 2024 offers performances and activities for all ages,” he noted.
From dynamic water zones to aerial acrobatics, visitors can capture memorable moments throughout the park.
“As night falls, multimedia shows with light displays and fountain dances dazzle,” Wong added. “Old Hong Kong recreates retro Hong Kong with food and drinks amid vibrant neon lights, evoking scenes from ‘In the Mood for Love.’”
Wong emphasized Ocean Park’s suitability for study tours, corporate events, weddings, and private events.
“We’re pleased Hong Kong remains a top destination for Filipinos in 2024,” Wong acknowledged, attributing popularity to continuing Filipino support.
