Art Lozano’s works for “The Road Less Travelled”, is inspired by Robert Frost’s poem, The Road Not Taken, published in 1920: “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled by…”. The paintings are Lozano’s interpretation of the poem — a meditation on the tendency for man to look back on all his choices as momentous ones that brought him to his standing today. The exhibition is a representation of the courage to determine one’s own destiny.
Human beings believe that one can visit merely one path at a time. All the alterations in the end leave us to contemplate and astonish. Art Lozano’s works point out that one should continuously have the valor to select the right way in spite of the road being lumpy and thorny. The exhibition is a remembrance of the effect of life-changing decisions.
Art Lozano’s “The Road Less Travelled” deals with determining options ruled by predispositions as well as potentials. It is also an exploration of a journey born of internal and external conflicts, resolutions, and independence.

He believes his works can be an instrument to propel the message to focus on earth’s pristine beauty. He dreams that his paintings would urge people to act and take full responsibility in preserving Mother Nature.
Ultimately, as he bares his soul through these works, Lozano entices his audience to interpret his works with a critical eye and an open mind.
A painter from Ilocos, Arthur “Art” Lozano has, since 2000, been garnering recognition by various award giving bodies including the AAP Annual Art Competition, Metro Bank Art and Design Excellence National Competition, GSIS Art Award, and the Philip Morris Art Award.
He is currently a member of the renowned Baguio Tam-awan Artist Group.
