Mallgoers got a glimpse of Philippine and Vietnamese products at the recent Philippine-Vietnamese Fair held at the Newport Mall’s The Plaza.

Anton Magpantay, ArtisteSpace managing director, hopes that spectators got to appreciate the goods that both countries offer.

“We are privileged to partner with groups who also value tradition and culture,” Magpantay said. Following this event will be another fair in Vietnam to be hosted by their partner, The Bliss Mimosa Beauty Corp. Ltd.

Visitors to the exhibition had the chance to marvel at the colorful display of traditional Vietnamese and Philippine-made gowns and dresses from the Designer Circle Philippines with businesswomen from the Asia-Pacific 2022.

When borders reopen to travelers, vibrant street life, exquisite food and epic landscapes await them in Vietnam, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism said.

With 54 ethnic groups, 30 national parks and eight UNESCO sites, Vietnam’s diverse landscapes and rich culture make it a fascinating destination for any traveler, the Vietnam Tourism Board added.

Many insightful tours, amazing dishes and fun activities can be had in Vietnam, so visitors never run out of interesting things to do, such as trying the cuisines that vary from north to south, the Vietnam Tourism Board also said.

There is nothing like a hit of steaming pho broth to get one started in the morning. Pho is one of Vietnam’s outstanding noodle dishes.

There is also the ca phe sua, one of the most delicious drinks that quenches one’s thirst Vietnamese-style. It is an addictive Vietnamese coffee that will keep travelers buzzing all day.

Foodies and savvy gormandizers passing through Da Nang make an effort to find banh trang cuon thit heo (rice paper pork rolls). The dish is one of Da Nang’s unmissable culinary specialties.

Filipinos must also try the large, affordable Vietnamese cashew nuts as well as the bird’s nest dish, tea leaves and tasty fruits, Magpantay said.

In October, Magpantay and his team will go to Da Nang to showcase Philippine food, handicrafts and other products to the Vietnamese.

“We have high hopes that this strategic partnership will strengthen our ties and will bring more exchange of culture and products with Vietnam,” he said.

Joining Magpantay at the fair were David and Ly Thao Ky, The Bliss Mimosa Beauty Corp. president and director, as well as Roshele Moreno, Newport Mall general manager.
