Actress-host Melai Cantiveros has revealed who her presidential bet is: Vice President Leni Robredo.
“Ang boto ko para kay VP Leni Robredo ay boto ko para sa magandang kinabukasan ng mga kabataang Pinoy,” she wrote on Instagram.
Melai was vocal about her reasons for choosing the current vice president to be the next leader of the Philippines. She believes in Robredo’s vision of “angat buhay para sa lahat” should Robredo win the presidency in May. Melai even enjoined some of those who criticized her to join Robredo’s campaign.
“Gusto ko ang peg niya, lalo’t tungkol sa mga kababaihan at kabataang Pilipino. Feel na feel mo ang kanyang pagiging isang mabuting ina,” she was heard saying.

Melai and husband Jason Francisco met and fell in love while they were housemates in “Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up” in 2009.
Melai was the big winner, while Jason finished in third place.
The couple wed in General Santos, where Melai is from, on December 9, 2013.
They are parents to two girls: Amelia and Stella.

Melai remains visible as a mainstay of the morning show on ABS-CBN, “Magandang Buhay,” with Jolina Magdangal and Karla Estrada, who is currently on leave as she is campaigning for a seat as a third nominee of a party-list. Singer-actress Regine Velasquez has been tapped to be a temporary replacement.
Meanwhile, Jason has transferred to GMA and has assignments in Kapuso shows. He also has a job that is not connected to showbiz.
“Iba pa rin ang kita sa showbiz,” he opined, “Bukod sa kakaibang galak na nadarama mo tuwing humaharap ka sa camera at pinapanood ko sa TV ang sarili ko, especially with my two kids na panay palakpak. Feeling ko, superstar ako.”

Now 32 years old, Shaina Magdayao did not think she would last this long in showbiz.
She was only six years old when she started her career.
She would appear as playmate or younger sister of another actress or actor.
When she turned older, that’s when she decided to quit. But an executive of ABS-CBN persuaded her to sign with them. And is she glad she did.
She’s now part of the cast of the top action series, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” which has kept her visible to viewers.
“Lalo ngayong pandemic,” she said.
Asked if she is in a serious relationship, she said she needs to seriously think about entering one, even though she knows she is not getting any younger.

Rocco Nacino is happy for the success of his “Encantadia” (2016) and “Haplos” (2017) co-star, Sanya Lopez, who plays the lead in “First Lady.”
Sanya Lopez is the wife of drama icon Gabby Concepcion, who plays the president, in the primetime show.
“Ang gagaling ng mga kasama namin dito, bukod kay Sir Gabby,” said Rocco, “Featured din si Pancho Magno, isa rin sa mga matitinik nating actor.
“Sa mga artistang babae naman, I look forward to sharing some scenes with Alice Dixson, who plays an ex of Sir Gabby. Semi-kontrabida ang role ni Alice kaya kabado din daw si Sanya na maka-eksena ito.
“Sabi ko naman kay Sanya, mas kabado akong maka-eksena siyang muli,” he further said.
