AS part of National Arts Month celebrated annually every February in the country, Galerie Raphael U.P. Town Center brings together over 25 artists in the Gallery Group’s first group exhibition for 2024 “Project Abstrakt 2024: Synergy in Diversity.”  One in the aim of Arts Month in showcasing the artistic talent of our Filipino abstract artists, the exhibit provides an avenue for the artists to channel their creative energies in the continued progression and growth of Philippine abstract art. The exhibit also aims to celebrate the artists’ differences in their own personal expression of abstraction while bringing them together and the audience as well in a visual, colorful journey of both the real and imagined.

The artworks presented by a mix of senior and emerging artists bring to the forefront, the different artistic backgrounds, experiences, ideas and perspectives that each artist has which then served as a source of inspiration for their works. The exhibit also allows the audience to discover pieces that resonate with them personally, or escape in pieces that evoke a wide variety of emotions. It is almost an adventure to view the tactile wonders of the featured sculptures and bask in what were once abstract thoughts in the artists’ mind but are now vivid and bold colors on paper, canvas and board.
