Pueblo de Oro Development Corp. (PDO) reached new heights in 2021 despite the challenging environment brought about by the pandemic.
The company reported sales revenue of P1.24 billion in 2021, up 14 percent from previous year. Net income improved to P167 million, a 45 percent growth from the year 2020.
The company had grown its land bank, acquiring an additional 100 hectares in the province of Batangas. It also plans to launch new product types, such as mid-rise buildings in its townships in Cagayan de Oro and Cebu.
PDO targets to launch two projects in Cagayan de Oro in the third quarter. These are Westwood Storeys, a residential condominium set in the elevated part of the award-winning Westwoods project, and La Aldea del Rio is an economic townhouse development located in Barangay Lumbia.
In the last quarter, PDO will launch Southridge, a nine-hectare high-end residential community overlooking the Pueblo de Oro golf course, also in Cagayan de Pro.
PDO also started developing commercial centers, with more open-air and sprawling spaces, for residents in its Cagayan de Oro, Cebu and Malvar sites.
Prim Nolido, PDO president, said the past year’s performance validates the company’s strategy of delivering developments in high-growth hubs outside crowded Metro Manila.
Batangas for example, is attracting both locals and city dwellers to relocate in the province.
Last year, PDO launched Townscapes Malvar, a sprawling, eco-friendly community and safe haven with stunning views, green pockets and unique outdoor amenities. The project was masterplanned by internationally acclaimed architectural firm Pomeroy Architects from Singapore.
Townscapes Malvaris part of a 212-hectare self-sustaining developm ent at the heart of Malvar, Batangas. It is adjacent to a 170-hectare industrial park developed by its sister company, Science Park of the Philippines, Inc., and is an easy 1.5-hour drive to and from Manila.
PDO has increased its product offerings in Pampanga where the company experienced positive sales despite the pandemic.
“Economic development, supported by ICT and transportation infrastructure, has made the province an ideal location to live in and do business,” said Nolido. The company expects ongoing as well as upcoming infrastructure projects to further boost employment and growth in the province.
In anticipation, the property developer has opened new phases, with new house models for its Horizon Residences and La Aldea Fernandina II residential projects in Barangay Del Carmen in San Fernando. Both are strategically situated within two kilometers from the city’s major establishments and the San Fernando NLEX exit.
