In an era of evolving investment opportunities, Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) funds have emerged as a powerful force, offering investors passive income streams, portfolio diversification, and access to the global real estate market.

The market capitalization of REITs grew to $1.9 Trillion, an approximate growth of 17 percent annually. This is a testament to the rising popularity of REITs and its potential for substantial returns.

As the demand for REITs continues to soar, AXA Philippines is now offering Filipinos the opportunity to capitalize on the potential of REITs by adding the AXA Global REIT and Property Income Fund to its portfolio of income-paying funds (IPFs).

The AXA Global REIT and Property Income Fund can be availed via Asset Master, AXA’s unit-linked insurance plan. This fund presents an opportunity for high-net-worth investors to strategically increase their wealth by capitalizing on prime global real estate investments while letting them enjoy monthly cash payouts of up to 5 percent per annum.

The AXA Global REIT and Property Income Fund also allows them to tap into diverse global real estate sectors, including residential, hotel & resorts, retail, and the new powerhouses of the real estate industry —communication infrastructures, data centers, industrial, and healthcare spaces.

Ownership of such coveted prime real estate investments in the world positions investors at the forefront of profitable property opportunities and passive income-generating assets.

Additionally, investors are also guaranteed at least 125 percent life insurance coverage that protects their legacy and ensures a seamless wealth transfer to their heirs, providing them financial security.

“We’re happy to provide AXA Global REIT and Property Income Fund as one of the fund options for AXA’s Asset Master insurance policy. It gives our customers access to prime global real estate investments which is a good way to diversify one’s portfolio. Similar to actual real estate investment, the fund gives monthly payouts while providing potential gains in capital appreciation according to market conditions. And because the fund is linked to an insurance product, one has guaranteed life insurance coverage for as long as he or she maintains the policy.” said Nandy Villar, Chief Marketing Officer of AXA Philippines.

Dexter Agcaoili, Product Category Head for Unit-Linked Funds, gives further emphasis on the benefits of the Global REIT and Property Income Fund. He said Investing in REITs is a smart move for investors looking to generate passive income without the burdens of direct ownership.

“REITs offer a unique opportunity to diversify portfolios and invest in real estate without worrying about illiquidity, property management, and upfront costs,” Agcaoili said.

AXA Philippines has long been offering IPFs such as the Global Assets Income Paying (GAIN) Fund to support customers in building a diverse global investment portfolio and maximizing wealth growth. The AXA Global REIT and Property Income Fund further enriches AXA’s IPF portfolio by offering customers a specialized real estate investment option, granting exposure to a promising global market.

“We are happy to offer top holdings consisting of the largest global REITs to Filipino investors. These include prominent industrial REITs serving clients like Amazon and Walmart, as well as data center REITs catering to major technology giants such as Google and Apple, among others,” Agcaoili said.

Established in 1999, AXA Philippines is one of the largest and fastest growing insurance companies in the country. It offers financial security to close to 2 million individuals through its group and individual life insurance as well as general insurance products.

AXA Philippines is one of the first to introduce bancassurance operations in the country and is among the pioneers in the investment-linked insurance sector.

AXA Philippines is a joint venture between the AXA Group, headquartered in France, GT Capital Holdings, Inc. (GT Capital), a leading listed conglomerate in the Philippines, and Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company (Metrobank), one of the Philippines’ largest financial institutions.
