The COVID-19 pandemic put everyone’s lives on hold. As the country went into lockdown and people stayed at home, celebrations became more intimate and for some, had to be postponed to when days are better.

As we go down the road to recovery and restrictions ease up, couples who have been waiting to tie the knot are now excitedly planning their dream wedding. Marriott Manila’s “Marry Me at Marriott” returns in full force after a 3-year hiatus to showcase works from some of the country’s best designers in what has been considered one of the premier bridal fairs in the country.

“There are many reasons why I feel privileged to be here tonight. But most importantly, the interconnectedness of the events business, the importance of milestone events — those infinite moments that you’ve heard about, we’ve missed them. Everybody who is deeply intertwined in these fabulous, interesting, fun business of events has been missing something–something critical, something important. But we’re back here tonight celebrating. To celebrate being back together, to celebrate infinite moments, and, really, to be thankful just for being here,” Multi-Property Vice President Bruce Winton said.

The bridal gown fashion show highlighted the works of 8 designers: upcomers Jazel Sy, Joe San Antonio, Julianne Syjuco and Andrea Tetangco, the fairly established Happy Andrada and Debbie Co, and the pillars Randy Ortiz and Albert Andrada. Their works were worn by celebrities and pageant winners including Kylie Verzosa, Carla Abellana, Aubrey Miles.

The “Marry Me at Marriott” event is just one of the many concepts under the Marriott Moments campaign. Aside from the bridal fair, Marriott Manila’s Youtube channel has also been revamped to what is now called “My Favorite Travel Channel”. The hotel will also be launching on July 23 and 24 a new facility in the Grand Ballroom which is the MGBX Convention Center.

“This expo will serve as a kick-off for a month-long promo. For those who have a confirmed booking for any of your events here at Marriott, you will get a special upgrade in their package. On top of that, for those who have booked their weddings, they have a chance to win a pair of couple’s rings or wedding rings,” Cluster Director of Marketing Communications of Manila Marriott, Sheraton Manila and Courtyard Iloilo Archie Nicasio said.
