Never meant to be a fashion accessory, eyewear plays a significant role in how people with vision issues interact with the world. Even for those with normal eyesight, there are also eyewear that help reduce eye fatigue and strain.
HOBLI’s Vision Express Philippines is one of the Philippines’ leading eyewear brands and it made a name for itself with its wide variety of brands available at different price points, as well as its in-depth vision testing process which ensures that customers get the correct glasses for their needs. The brand recently opened its The Block at SM City North EDSA branch, its largest branch in Quezon City. “At Vision Express, we are all about innovation.
We’re here to give you the best brands, the best eye exams, and the best customer experiences,” Vision Express Philippines managing director Neelam Gopwani said.

Vision Express Philippines’ newest branch also offers a state-of-the-art eye exam for customers. The digital eye exam provides a digital fingerprint of a customer’s eye and measures optical characteristics, pinpointing even the smallest changes that can occur over time. This gives the store the capability to provide the most precise eyecare.
“Aside from being a store offering fashionable sunglasses, we also offer a seven-step eye exam and the Vision Board. These are ophthalmology services but in an optometric scenario. The difference is that optometric is more over the counter while ophthalmology is more in-depth, including understanding surgical requirements if any. Our equipment is capable of that, and we aim to make it much easier and more accessible to the general public, Mini Paul, Brand Marketing Head of HOBLI shared.
Alongside the opening of the new branch, Vision Express also unveiled an additional 4 eyewear brands in its collection, namely Dita Lancier, Silhouette, Guess and Prive Revaux.
The different brands come in different price points so that people find their perfect pair.
“We do a very clear demarcation of customer needs and wants in the store so that somebody who wants to spend P990 doesn’t get overwhelmed by items worth P100,000 while someone who wants to spend P100,000 doesn’t feel short sold by P990 items,” Paul explained.
The eyewear store also takes steps to ensure that the frames being sold in their store fits the features of Filipinos. “We look at how the eyewear fits. Filipinos have flatter noses so we look at brands which have collections that can be conducive to the Asian fit. We also focus a lot on boldness of logos because we saw that Filipinos love to show their brands,” Paul added.
