The Sunshine Place recently showcased the works of its art students in Flow, an exhibit highlighting the beauty of accepting grace in starting over, peace in pausing, and growth in going with the flow.
This also marks the fifth year of its Coloring Lives initiatives for its members.
The exhibit brings together the works of 30 artists in four (4) of the Sunshine Place’s art classes.
These include works from the Acrylic and oil painting classes of Art Association of the Philippines President Fidel Sarmiento; the Porcelain painting class of Mee Lee Casey, a Malaysian expat wife, who has been teaching Porcelain Painting in UK, Hong Kong and Australia for more than 20 years; and Ikebana Sogetsu arrangements with Marc Tomas.
Ongoing until November 15, it features 86 artworks in acrylic, oil, porcelain and Ikebana-Sogetsu including the works of Sunshine Place’s newest young artists Isla Le Brun, Maria Helena Bernardo, Rafael Tomas Tanglao, Stephen Rey Destura and Amanda Atayde who are exhibiting their works for the very first time.
The Sunshine Place offers art classes to seniors, as well as adults, teens and kids. At the core of the workshops, are mentoring sessions in hands-on techniques, application of different brushes & basic strokes, and color rendering.

The Flow exhibit will be available for viewing in Sunshine Place and online at https://www.sunshineplaceph.com/coloring-lives-online-exhibit. Proceeds will be given to Kanlungan Ni Maria Home for the Aged.
The Sunshine Place, a senior recreation center under the Felicidad Tan Sy Foundation, is a venue for adults to live actively, through engaging in recreational classes and age-appropriate physical training programs.
