ANGELI Khang is Viva’s most brazen nymphet these days, After “Mahjong Nights,” she’s in another erotic flick, “Eva,” Vivamax’ special holiday presentation for the Yuletide season.
How different is “Eva” from “Mahjong Nights” and her first movie, “Taya”?
“It’s so different,” she says. “Eva is a housemaid na all out sa pagpapakita ng kakayahan niya sa kama, with both men and women. In one scene, may threesome ako with Saab Aggabao who’s my boss and Marco Gomez who’s our driver.”
She’s thankful that Jeffrey Hidalgo is a very understanding director. “He’s very approachable kaya ‘di ka mahihiyang magtanong para mae-explain niyang mabuti ang lahat ng dapat mong gawin sa eksena. Very encouraging siya, very patient kasi alam niyang mga baguhan kami. We can feel his respect for us.”
It helps that she also gets along so well with all her co-stars. “Masaya lahat ng mga katrabaho ko rito, pati si Direk. Very comfortable ako sa kanilang lahat, kaya ‘di nakakailang to disrobe. Day one pa lang, naging friends na kaming lahat ng co-stars ko.”
She says they treated each other like one big family during the entire shoot. “Parang pamilya kami, kaya nga pagdating sa bedscenes, madali na for us all to relate with each other. Nagtatawanan pa kami, nagkukuwentuhan, nag-aabutan ng tuwalya to cover us after the take, kaya when the shooting ended we all felt sad na maghihiwalay na kami.”
So why should viewers watch “Eva” compared to her past movies? “Masasabi kong mas all out itong ‘Eva’ kaysa sa ‘Mahjong Nights’ at sa ‘Taya.’ Kasi, lahat ng klase ng sex scenes, masasaksihan nyo rito. Smorgasbord siya at kapag na-meet nyo na si Eva, you’ll never forget her.”

Rocco Nacino just renewed his contract as a Kapuso. He was merely the third placer in “Starstruck” in 2010, but he’s now a bigger star than the winner, Steven Silva, who has faded away, and Enzo Pineda, who moved to ABS-CBN where his career sadly didn’t prosper.
So there must really be a prize for being a loyal Kapuso. Look at other “Starstruck” winners who left GMA, Martin Escudero and Aljur Abrenica. Rocco is much more fortunate than them as he has a current hit drama series on primetime, “To Have and to Hold.”
“I am just truly thankful to GMA for supporting my career all these years,” he said at the solo press con hosted for him. “This year, I’m particularly lucky kasi usually one soap a year lang kami. But this year, they included me sa ‘Owe My Love’ ni Lovi Poe. I thought ‘yun na ‘yun, but then, heto, they have me play the male lead in ‘To Have and To Hold’ and it’s now my most successful show with me playing the lead role on primetime.”
The lead role of Gavin, the guy torn between Max Collins and Carla Abellana in the story, was originally meant for Derek Ramsay, who must now be regretting that he let go of such a plum role.
“I guess I should thank Derek, but I really felt nice when he said he is happy na sa akin napunta ang role ng Gavin. But I understand him na ayaw niyang mag-lock in taping kasi marami siyang kasama sa bahay, like his parents, and he might be the carrier of the virus sa kanila. So blessing talaga na sa akin napunta ang ‘To Have and to Hold’ which is now one of the toprating Kapuso shows on GMA Telebabad at tumatak talaga siya sa viewers.”
He’ll be celebrating his first wedding anniversary with wife Melissa Gohing in January. So how is married life so far?
“It’s wonderful. It’s a new chapter in our lives. May times, naninibago pa rin kami and we’re still doing lots of learning, but the period of adjustment is more good than bad.”
What will he say is his wife’s most endearing qualities? “Melissa is Ilongga and you know what they say about Ilonggas, they’re malambing. And it’s true, I can attest to that. She is very thoughtful. I can feel ‘yung pag-aalaga niya sa akin lalo na pag may lock-in taping ako. She prepares my things at kumpleto ang listahan niya.”
What about starting their own family? “Actually gusto ko na ring magka-baby. But may priorities pa kaming dapat gawin before that next stage in our life so we want to plan it muna. Everyone says pagdating ng baby, our lives will change totally so we’ll now enjoy muna our time together. Isa pa, pinagaganda pa namin ang house namin kasi when we moved there, naabutan kami ng pandemic. So we make improvements, like now, may sarili na kaming sauna.”

‘Part na siya ng support group

— Diego Loyzaga’
Diego Loyzaga says 2021 is his busiest year so far as he is doing one movie and TV series after another for Vivamax. He started with “Death of a Girlfriend” with AJ Raval in March.
This was followed by the TV series “Encounter” with Cristine Reyes.
Then more movies came in “Bekis on the Run,” “House Tour,” “More Than Blue.” He has just finished “Dulo,” a love story with girlfriend Barbie Imperial, and is now starting another new movie, “Greed,” with comebacking Viva star Nadine Lustre.
In “Dulo,” he plays Dex, a food vlogger, and Barbie plays Bianca, who wants to get her master’s degree abroad. The film is directed by Fifth Solomon of “The ExorSis” and chronicles the love story of two young people. It shows how it starts with their first meeting through a dating app, how their love blooms, then they start living in, until the relationship begins to sour and their fights become rampant because each of them is “nakakapagod mahalin.”
Things get from bad to worse, especially after Bianca gets the opportunity to go abroad and Dex is vehemently against it. They’re on the brink of separation so they decide to take a road trip to help iron out their differences. Will it save their relationship and will they still be together in the end? Hence, the film’s title, “Dulo,” meaning, “Sila ba hanggang dulo?”
The film will start streaming in Vivamax on December 10.
Diego and Barbie have been going steady since December 11 last year so they’re celebrating their first anniversary the day after their movie starts showing on December 10.
What did he like in Barbie?
“I told this to her, that I can see her as the mother of my children. I saw it in her noong nanliligaw pa lang ako sa kanya. I like that she’s very organized, very caring like my own mom, who’s now in Australia. May mga pinagdaanan ako in my past, she accepted them and helped me move on with my life. Part na siya ng support group ko with my mom and my aunties. Doing the movie with her is a blessing kasi we’re so relaxed with each other. And the story, along with our characters, are very relatable. All young lovers will see themselves in us, ‘yung iba-ibang stages ng relationship. Pati ‘yung ibang mga dialog namin dito, kahit sa dramatic scenes, totoong-totoo, they will recognize it, very true to life. At ang galing-galing ni Barbie rito in her role. Na-achieve niya talaga what it required.”
