The Ascott Limited hotel management company continues its plans to expand this year with the opening of its latest property, The Citadines Roces located in the heart of Quezon City.
The new serviced apartment will be opening to the public on January 19, 2024 and will offer 185 rooms ranging from the Studio rooms which start at 34 square meters, 1 Bedroom rooms coming in at 49 square meters, 2 Bedroom rooms that are 100 square meters large, and 3 Bedroom rooms spanning 126 square meters. The rooms have been designed to give a modern yet cozy look with its with its neutral colors of gray and brown which are punctuated by pastel furniture for that pop of color.
Citadines Roces also has an all-day dining restaurant located at the ground floor of the building, function spaces for meetings and events which are capable of being combined to accommodate 200 people, a swimming pool, a fully equipped fitness center, and a resident’s lounge. The parking area can accommodate 114 vehicles.
“The Citadines Roces property is the seventh Citadines property in the Philippines and the first in Quezon City. The concept of the brand is for people on the go, targeting both business and leisure travelers,” Citadines Roces Quezon City Assistant Residence Manager Thea Karissa Peregrino said.
Peregrino shared that unlike hotel rooms which rarely have a full kitchen, the rooms in Citadines properties come equipped with an induction stove and cooking utensils, allowing guests to prepare their own meals if they choose to. This has made Citadines a popular choice for long-staying guests.
However, she also noted that the number of short-staying guests has been increasing in the past several years. “Before, the trend was really more on the long-staying guests. But now, it is getting 60:40 or 50:50 split with staycation and weekenders,” Ms. Peregrino said.
Quezon City is home to the major media networks and several government offices and Citadines Roces aims to serve the needs of people who do business in the area.
“We saw a potential because of the media outfits located here. We don’t have that in Makati. Also, there are many government offices nearby and multinational companies. There are also many customers from Japan and Korea who are possibly looking for an alternative accommodation within Quezon City,” Ms. Peregrino said.
