POLICE arrested three men for alleged carnapping and abduction with rape in Tanay, Rizal last Saturday night.

Col. Felipe Maraggun, Rizal provincial police office director, identified the suspects as alias Jojo, Jason, and Jerry.

They are detained at the Tanay Municipal Custodial Facility facing carnapping and forcible abduction with rape charges filed by a certain Ana (not her real name).

Investigation showed that at around 2:30 a.m. last August 2, while Ana was driving her motorcycle along Sampaloc St. in Barangay Sampaloc, Tanay, the suspects blocked her way and took her and her motorcycle to a vacant lot in Baras where she was sexually assaulted.

She was later released in Teresa, Rizal but was warned that she would face death if she reported her ordeal to the police.

Despite the threat, Ana proceeded to a nearby police station in Teresa and reported the incident.

At around 7 p.m. last August 3, the three were apprehended in Tanay, Rizal.
