A house becomes more than just walls and
beams, more than just a shelter for the body, when it allows the
people that dwell there to live – even if only to some extent –
the life of their dreams.
From the idea of creating the dream house and
making it within almost everyone’s reach come Q Channel 11’s
"House Life," the home improvement show hosted by Tessa Prieto-Valdes.
Not many people may know but style icon and
socialite Tessa is a licensed interior designer. Joining her in
the show, the first and only home improvement TV show of Q, is a
team of young and talented interior designers – Tristan Jovella
for the do-it-yourself projects, and Aissa Gonzalez and Marilen
Faustino-Montenegro for the aesthetic concerns of the home.
Celebrity interior designer Tessa and her
team tackle anything and everything to help viewers live their
dream life in their dream home. Segments include "Monthly
Makeover," a monthly feature wherein one lucky family will have
a part of their home made over. "Get That Look" recreates part
of a celebrity’s home in a studio - for a lot less. "Celebrity
Home Feature" gives an all-access pass to secluded celebrity
dwellings. "Tessa’s Design Tips" has the host imparting
professional words of wisdom to viewers.
"Interior Design Tips" has Tessa’s team
serving as headhunters for the best home items to lead viewers
to the right places for all their home improvement needs. The
"Do It Yourself" segment offers a number of solutions when it
comes to fixing or sprucing up the home. The "Interior Design
Feature" segment highlights an array – from Hollywood-like
houses to luxury condominiums to lavish bathrooms to cinematic
home theaters – of spectacular feats in interior design.
The pilot episode last September 29 featured
the abulous home of Dr. Vicki Belo. Cristalle, Dr. Vicki’s
daughter, gamely gave viewers an exclusive room-to-room tour.
Tessa also made a side trip to one of Dr.
Vicki’s most popular clinics, designed by Tessa.
The pilot episode also had an exclusive
coverage of Real Living Magazine’s biggest house makeover ever.
