PARTAKAN FESTIVAL 2018: Riders hail return of Partakan for the fifth time

ADVENTURE was the motive of the first Partakan, put together by Aldous Rex Alingog, General Manager of Ropali Motorcycles. Since the first event in 2013, it has grown to over 300 riders in last year’s edition and the number is expected to double for 2018.

Partakan has earned rightfully a place in Philippine motorcycling history. Aside from gaining  a solid following i amongst the country’s motorcycling buffs it has also gained the admiration of the hard core and the devotees. For these enthusiasts, Partakan is the motorcycling event of the year.

“I’m excited for this year. We have more activities, better organization and better facilities. And this time we are expecting more participants. Every year the number of people attending is increasing. This is the first time that riders will be expiriencing the west coast of the north. This will help promote moto-tourism,” Alingog explained.

The organizers have billed this year as  the country’s biggest moto-tourism adventure ride judging by the number of participants and the distances the event will travel. It sets the bar higher with new challenges and offerings and has now become a must-attend and don’t-miss-it-for-the-world occasion.

Ropali Classics is a motorcycle distributor with a difference. The multi-brand dealership sells the most popular brands like Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Kymco but also powerful icons such as Lambretta, Norton and the massive, go-anywhere Russian bike brand Ural. The company fueled Partakan not just for its own brands but also taking the lead to bring bikes from everywhere. It has a proven history of attracting hard core bikers and enthusiasts. Last year alone, over 30 teams of riders each with at least 10 members joined.

Moto-tourism is not a new concept, or one that is exclusive to Partakan. But what makes this event stand out is its “Amazing Ride” which is 3 whole days of riding, from March 28-31, 2018. This year’s route navigates through some of the country’s most beautiful countryside and trails. It offers the ultimate road adventure—to be lived and played out in the hills, valleys, mountains and ultimately the most splendid beaches of Sta. Ana, Cagayan. On the third day all riders meet-up in Pozo Robo.

The Amazing Ride advocates safe riding at all speeds and conditions. Riding at night is not allowed thus all the pit stops shut down at night to support this policy. It will cover almost 735 kilometers of road, with starting line at Clark Parade Grounds in Angeles, Pampanga, following a map that will let bikers pass the scenic routes of Central and Northern Luzon.

Registration for Amazing Ride currently on-going online at www.partakan.com and is set to close at 10AM of March 28. Registration fee is P250 per rider.

“This is the first year for us to partner with Ropali Motorcycles Inc. for the Partakan Festival 2018. For that we are very excited because we at GMA Regional TV also promote the best in the regions, and this is one way for us to show everyone the beautiful sceneries in North (and) Central Luzon,” Jay Policarpio, Sales Manager of GMA Regional TV said. GMA Regional TV is one of the many media partners who will provide coverage of the whole event.

Partakan Festival 2018 is sponsored by Shell Advance as its official fuel and lubricants, Honda Motorcycles, Yamaha Motorcycles, and Mahindra/Asian Brands Corporation. Also sponsored in part by Suzuki Motorcycles, Standard Insurance, and Kawasaki Motorcycles. Eyecatcher: the official Safety of Partakan 2018, SEC Motorcycles, Northern Cement, and Lalamove. – RGBT
