A Danish touch to condo living from award-winning Portico

Portico, Alveo Land’s signature mixed - use condominium complex in Pasig City that combines high - rise residences and townhouses with a retail development recently earned both international and local recognition from the 2018 Property Guru Philippine s Property Awards as the Best High - End Condo Development in Metro Manila , and the 2018 - 2019 Asia Pacific Property Award for Best Residential High - Rise Development ( Philippines).

In partnership with Modernbrands Inc., the one-bedroom unit is designed by Per Weiss, creative director of Innovation Living Denmark. 

Its design focuses on flexibility, and showcases how to enlarge condo spaces by combining form and function.

Modern Brands and Alveo Land on Tuesday unveiled a new model unit for its residential project, Portico. 

Especially designed by Per Weiss, the creative director for Innovation Living Denmark, this model unit design focuses on flexibility and expanding one’s living space by combining form and function, something the Scandinavians are known for. This makes living in condo spaces a dwelling of infinite possibilities, and not a necessary compromise. 

The Danish furniture company offers multifunctional furniture solutions that is modern, durable and comfortable, to create value in people’s everyday lives. People do not necessarily need bigger homes, but just to make smarter choices. 

Modernbrands is a lifestyle furniture company known for its unique collection of fresh home furniture brands in the Philippines.

Apart from  Weiss’ design, other interior design options by Modernbrands’ licensed in-house designers are also availAble to choose from. 

At the unveiling, the partnership showcased the model unit themed  

“Couple Playful”  by Innovation Living  which integrated   a playful modular Splitback Frej Concept where the living room will become ever changing and non-static. 

This provides the owner multiple unique seating options that he or she can playfully combine for various settings. On top of that, the furniture features an ability to turn into a bed for friends or family who would like to visit. 

Weiss explained the Danish tradition of furniture design which is reflected in the styling of the unit , exuding a minimalistic atmosphere defined by white walls, light wood accents, a selection of decorative items and graphics that emanates the Danish “Hygge” appeal, that unique  lifestyle concept of cozy, comfortable and quality living,

“We believe that form and function must go hand in hand to create innovative durable designs for everyday use. Since 1989 we have dedicated ourselves to the design and development of multifunctional sofa beds,” Innovation Living said. 

The design introduces and integrates the Danish firm’s fine line of storage units and dining chairs that has been created through pushing the boundaries of 3D veneer, crafted by Hans Sandgren Jacobsen.
