No. 2 PNP officer retires

A MINOR reshuffle which affected key posts in the PNP took effect Monday after Deputy Director General Francisco Uyami, the deputy chief PNP for administration (No. 2 man), retired from service last Friday.
Uyami was a member of PMA Class of 1982.

PNP chief Ronald dela Rosa said Deputy Director General Ramon Apolinario (PMA Class 1985) was named to replace Uyami, while Deputy Director General Fernando Mendez (PMA Class 1986) was appointed to take over Apolinario’s vacated post as deputy PNP chief for operations (No. 3 man).

Mendez’s former post as the PNP chief of directorial staff (No. 4 man) was passed on to Director Archie Gamboa (PMA Class 1986), while Gamboa’s former assignment as the director for comptrollership was given to Director Ramon Purruganan (PMA Class 1986).

Purruganan’s vacated post as director for personnel and records management was given to Chief Supt. Rene Aspera (PMA Class 1987), while Aspera’s former post as chief of police security and protection group was turned over to Chief Supt. Joel Garcia (PMA Class 1986).

Garcia’s replacement as deputy director for personnel and records management has yet to be named.
