Missing bank teller found dead, burned

A FEMALE bank teller believed to have been raped and burned was found inside the garage of a towing company in Barangay Rosario, Pasig City last Monday.

Chief Supt. Romulo Sapitula, Eastern Police District director, identified the victim as Mabel Tagala Cama, 22, of Ortigas Extension, Barangay Rosario. Came went missing last Friday.

“Half of her body was burned. At nakahubat ‘yung mga pang-itaas na damit,” said “Kalahati ng katawan, sunog. At nakahubad ‘yung mga pang-itaas na damit,” said Senior Insp. Obet Garcia, adding the victim’s personal belongings were also missing.

Police invited a person of interest identified as Diolan Acebuche, 23, an auto mechanic, of Barangay Rosario. Cama’s body was found a few meters away from Acebuche’s home.

Cama was last seen alive in her neighborhood at 10 p.m. on Sunday night.

Bystanders told police that they noticed something burning in the garage and found the body of the victim. – Christian Oineza
