Jeff Dizon and Faico

It was in the late sixties and the early seventies when I was first acquainted with Jeff Dizon whose works at that time were “pretty pretty” but well done. After several decades as I enrolled at the UP College of Fine Arts, I once more had the opportunity of meeting and working with Jeff  Dizon – this time as members of the UPCFA Alumni Association Board.

Through the years, I witnessed how Jeff transformed to becoming more spiritual within himself. He would often lead us in prayer before our monthly meetings and before meals.

Viewing his works on exhibit (entitled Jeff Dizon – “Diviners”) at the Art Circle Gallery, at the 4th floor of the SM Megamall, a new Jeff Dizon has immerged.  Aside from a more matured artist who has mastered techniques, proportions, colors, volumes etc., one can feel the spirituality in Jeff today.

His works are stunning as they are well composed. I shall no longer describe nor explain the body of works on display in the exhibit.  All that I can say is that you visit the
Art Circle Gallery and view the works for yourself.  You will be stunned as I was stunned. Every one of Jeff’s works are awesome!

Whether or not you appreciate art, it’s worth the trip to the Megamall – traffic and all!

Jeff Dizon’s works will stimulate you into deeper thinking ….…

Known as the premier jewellery salon in the country, Hoseki gave its clients an exclusive treat as it held a grand sale of its gorgeous handcrafted pieces. Although the
Hoseki store is located at The Podium in Ortigas Center, the  affair, this time was held at the opulent home of Hoseki founder and internationally-acclaimed jewellery designer Faico and corporate affairs director Zabeth Co.

Jewelry enthusiasts from all over Metro Manila were warmly welcomed by my mahjong friend and neighbor, Hoseki chief creative officer Knoi Esmane; operations manager
Harold Co; and Hoseki finance officer,  Grace Co.

The event was an overwhelming success as the guests bought for themselves and their loved ones exquisitely beautiful jewelry items (that may be considered to be Art pieces) that showcase that excellent artistry and superb craftsmanship that Hoseki is well-known for.

Can you imagine, we are the in the middle of the second month of the year…..ay, how time flies!!!
