An exciting new chapter for Canon Philippines

LED by a new regional and local leadership, Canon Marketing Philippines Inc. (CMPI) expects sales growth of more than 11 times in the next 20 years according to Noriko Gunji, Canon Singapore president and chief executive officer.

“Canon holds the strong belief that we will be able to expand our business in the Philippines along with the exciting developments ahead,” Gunji said.

“At Canon, it means a lot to us that our technology and solutions help businesses to become more productive and drive growth,” she added, noting the brand’s commitment to bring innovative imaging technology and high quality and reliable products.

Gunji said Canon is helping companies simplify their document management processes and move towards digital transformation.

“We delight all our stakeholders such as customers, society, and employees through our products, services, and the way we do things both internally and externally. We have been consistently doing this already but we want to improve on this further,” said Kazuhiro Ozawa, new CMPI president and chief executive officer.

Ozawa said Canon will improve its presence in regional areas as well as in Metro Manila. “We can simplify customers’ office workflow further by our technology. It leads to real cost and time savings for customers.”

Meanwhile, Anuj Aggarwal was appointed as the new CMPI vice president as part of the strategy of Canon Asia Marketing Group (CAMG) to promote local retailers in all countries, including the Philippines.

“The Philippines is a warm and welcoming country and I feel fortunate to have been given the opportunity to work here. My move to the Philippines is part of the strategy of CAMG to promote local talent, and I am sure we will be seeing that happening in all countries very soon,” Aggarwal said.

He noted the Philippines as one of the fastest growing economies in the world and the second fastest growing economy in Asia, and that it will continue to grow at a faster pace.

Aggarwal also noted the brand’s growth potential buoyed by the country’s young population which will lead to increased investments in the Philippines in terms of marketing spend and provide more employment opportunities.

Aggarwal said the brand hopes to achieve this goal guided by its corporate philosophy of KYOSEI, which means living and working together for the common good. Everywhere it is present, Canon strives to strike a balance between doing good business and contributing to society.

In the next years, CMPI will create long-term corporate social responsibility programs that will use Canon technologies to improve the lives of Filipinos, Aggarwal added.
