Lovi’s lovely life

Life is good,” says actress Lovi Poe, who, aside from the GMA series, “Mulawin vs. Ravena,” has another project, the Regal Entertainment movie, “Work Up Like This,” her reunion project with Vhong Navarro.

“Vhong and I worked together for the first time in ‘Shake, Rattle & Roll,’ also a production of Regal Entertainment,” she relates, “Yes, ang film firm ni Mother Lily again ang producer ng ‘Woke Up Like This.’ Magkaiba, though, ang ‘Shake’ at ‘Woke.’ Nanakot kami ni Vhong sa una, dito sa ‘Woke,’ laugh to the max ang mga manonood.”

Director Joel Ferrer reveals that the idea for the comedy came from Mother Lily’s daughter Roselle.

“Nagandahan kaagad ako sa concept,” he relates. “Very new, very interesting.”

Vhong is supposed to be a top basketball player, very macho, while Lovi is a ramp model, very sexy and beautiful. But something extraordinary happens one day.

“Naging si Vhong ang katauhan ko at si Vhong naman, naging biglang ako,” Lovi relates with a laugh. “Riot talaga.”

Lovi and Vhong are joined by Joey Marquez, Bayani Agbayani, Dione Monsanto, Cora Waddell, Yana Assistio and child actor Raikko Mateo in the comedy.

Of Lovi, she does not deny she is currently in a serious relationship with French businessman Chris Johnson, but clarifies that they are not living together.

“Although, hindi rin issue sa akin ang pag-li-live in ng dalawang taong nagmamahalan,” she further stated.

Thanks to the tremendous box-office success of “Kita Kita,” Empoy Marquez’ stock has gotten a big boost. He is getting a number of lead-role offers.

However, there is a report that Marquez has chosen the project proposed by another comedian, Dennis Padilla, who will make his directorial debut.

“Dennis will not be in the movie but behind the lens,” said a kibitzer. “The movie has no title yet, but the cameras are set to start grinding and Empoy’s co-stars will be revealed soon.”

Dennis himself is in a good place. He is now in a happy relationship with a non-showbiz girl, with whom he has a child. He was also in the debut of Claudia, his second daughter with Marjorie Barretto.

Is it true Anne Curtis will walk down the aisle in a Monique Lhuiller?

The actress-host is set to exchange “I dos” with restaurateur Erwan Heusaff, reportedly in New Zealand.

Our source has no idea when the Heusaff-Smith’s nuptials will happen, but it will be this year, she added with a wink.

Meanwhile, Anne’s “It’s Showtime” co-host Billy Crawford will wed Coleen Garcia on a beach in April 2018. The two announced in “Magandang Buhay,” hosted by Karla Estrada, Melai Cantiveros and Jolina Magdangal, that they have a wedding coordinator who is on top of the affair.

At 37, Billy revealed, he can hardly wait to start a family. He wants at least three kids.

Coleen is 10 years younger than Billy.

Coleen said she will definitely missed Ayen Laurel, who has decided to quit “Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin,” because she is pregnant with her fifth child.

Laurel is married to   singer-actor Franco Laurel. She has a son, Hasan, with Brunei Prince Jefri Bolkiah. The boy, now 15, lives with her and Franco in Alabang, Muntinglupa. He also studies here.
