KZ Tandingan at her finest

HER time has come.

After wowing the whole world in China’s “Singer” – KZ Tandingan is ready to take front and center at the country’s premiere stage – MOA Arena – to prove to one and all her artistic supremacy.

Her climb has not been easy. KZ tried – and failed – several times – until she was finally chosen for “X Factor” and eventually brought home the bacon in the talent search six years ago.

Her unique style and distinct sound has caught the attention of many music lovers, and her followers grew tremendously throughout the years. She did not rest on her laurels though.

“Never stay in your comfort zone,” she said. “Because [once you challenge yourself] that is where magic happens.”

KZ understands that reinvention is the name of the game and for one to achieve longevity in the entertainment business, one has to continue evolving. Constant artistic innovation is proven vital in order to stand out and to create an enormous mark in the world of tunes, beats and melodies. She has proven this many times. From her style to her looks – she continues to elevate her game.

On June 22, Friday, KZ will mark another chapter in her career through her major concert titled “Supreme: KZ Tandingan at the MOA Arena.”

In this concert, she will set the bar, proving to all and sundry why she is Asia’s one and only “Soul Supreme.”

Joining KZ in her concert are stellar talents like her “brother” from Cornerstone Iñigo Pascual and her biggest influence in music – Gloc 9. With Moira dela Torre, KZ promises to reach out to the lovelorn and the loved.

“Mananakit kami ng puso,” said KZ.

Another number to look forward to is her performance with boyfriend TJ Monterde. Finally, she gets her chance to share the stage with someone whom she admires not only because of his character but also his musicality.

KZ will also share the stage with “ASAP Soul Sessions” regulars Kyla, Jason Dy, and Daryl Ong.

Since her initial breakout in the music scene, KZ steadily soared and her music continued to conquer the airwaves. She bagged multiple awards and emerged victorious in various competitions. Her critically acclaimed rendition of “Mahal Ko o Mahal Ako” won in the Himig Handog 2014. The song was hailed the Song of the Year at the MOR Awards and was proclaimed as the Best Ballad Recording in 2015’s Awit Awards.

In 2017, KZ released “Soul Supremacy,” her sophomore album after her self-titled record in 2013. In this album, KZ showcased how she has evolved as an artist and it highlighted her distinct style and sound. Her carrier single “Labo” won as the Best Urban Song in “Wish Music Awards 2017” and the Favorite Urban Video in Myx Music Awards 2018.

Produced by Cornerstone Concerts and Star Events, and directed by Johnny “Mr. M” Manahan, catch KZ in “Supreme: KZ Tandingan” at the MOA Arena on June 22 at 8 p.m. For tickets, call SM Tickets at 470-2222 or log on to www.smtickets.com.

‘Outrage over the killing of priests today in our country will persist and, if real justice is not served soon will, in all probability, combine for a growing social and political unrest with a polarized Church.’
