Kris says there’s no offer from ABS-CBN

IF she could have her way, Liza Soberano would be a regular student now.

She would be studying Psychology in preparation to a law course.

But because she is busy with her showbiz career and wants to help give her family a comfortable life, she and rumored boyfriend Enrique Gil are currently enrolled in an online course. She is taking up business management at Southville University in Parañaque City.

Aside from hitting the books, Liza is busy preparing for what she believes is her biggest and most challenging movie assignment ever: Darna.

Award-winning director Erik Matti will direct the movie under Star Cinema.

Enrique, meanwhile, will soon start work on “Seven Sundays,” also a Star Cinema offering, which will have Cathy Garcia at the helm.

Also in the cast of “Seven Sundays” are Dingdong Dantes, Ronaldo Valdez, Cristine Reyes and Aga Muhlach.

Kris Aquino denies there’s tension between her and Michela Cazzola, the Italian girlfriend of her ex-husband, James Yap.

In fact, Kris received a gift from the couple, who had just returned from Italy with their son, Michael James or MJ for short.

Michela gave her a beautiful Piero Guidi wallet.

Our source had no idea what pasalubong James and Michael gave Bimby, James’ elder son with Kris.

“We’re sure they also gave gifts to Bimby and his Kuya Joshua, Kris’s 22-year-old son with action star Phillip Salvador,” said our informant.

Meanwhile, she has denied on social media that she returned to her former home network, ABS-CBN.

On Instagram, she told ice_0123 she has several projects, but not as a Kapamilya.

“ice_0123 no talks, no offer. Sorry… I am doing more digital works w/ 2 other blue chip Filipino conglomerates & an exciting YouTube project, and starting to shoot for my @iflix.ph project very soon.”

Paolo Bediones’ skin looked blemish-free – no trace of the chronic inflammatory disease known as psoriasis, which he claims he has – when he hosted the CIGNAL Entertainment Media Launch last Wednesday at the  Edsa Shangri-La Hotel Manila.

“Medyo tumaba lang siya,” commented a fellow entertainment writer. “Pero bumagay naman.”

At the star-studded Cignal TV anniversary, president Jane Bass revealed they will bring in a new kind of entertainment – fresh, relevant and intelligent – which they will share to local viewers via different platforms and experiences. That is, from the smallest screens to the largest theaters.

To ensure quality entertainment, added Ms. Basa, Cignal TV has partnered with Sari-Sari Network, Unitel, Percy Intalan’s Idea First, Wilma Galvante’s Content Cows and Masque Valley Productions, all exciting storytellers.

For its initial production, Cignal Entertainment will offer “Tokhang,” a gritty miniseries starring Karel Marquez and James Blanco.

Directed by Lawrence Fajardo, “Tokhang” is a crime-drama which present some of the hottest issues in the country today –drugs and mining.

A bonus of sorts is the special appearance of Butch Francisco, who was a former entertainment editor in Malaya Business Insight.

“One year ako sa America,” Butch told us.

Butch plays a broadcast journalist in “Tokhang.”

Did we hear it right that the rich businessman currently linked to Arci Muñoz was the former boyfriend of Erich Gonzales?

Funny, but the two girls also have Daniel Matsunaga in common. Daniel is Erich’s immediate ex who was linked to Arci when they participated in the reality show, “I Can Do That.”

But when she guested in “Tonight with Boy Abunda,” Arci told Boy she and Daniel are just friends. She added she has a suitor, a businessman with whom she’s been friends for some time.

Many are wondering when wedding bells will ring for Marvin Agustin, who is currently one of the most successful restaurateurs in town.

One of his restaurants is the classy Wolfgang Steak House in Pasay City. He also recently opened a Filipino restaurant, Bao Down, in San Francisco, California, USA.

Marvin, 38, has been very secretive about his personal life. Aside from having twins with Tetet Dy, he has not revealed any other details about his love life. The only girl who was openly linked to Marvin is Jolina Magdangal. And this was when they were still teenagers and very popular as a love team.

Jolina, of course, is now married to musician Mark Escueta, with whom she has a son.
