KRISTOFFER Martin tries his first gay role.
There is no doubt that one of the best young talents of his generation is GMA Artist Center’s Kristoffer, who recently got an Honorable Mention for the Best Supporting Actor category in the recent 16th Long Island International Film Expo in New York.
Tomorrow in “Magpakailanman,” Kristoffer plays his first gay role -- a former thug now “sexy lady.”
Joining him in this episode are Mark Herras, Michael de Mesa, Shamaine Buencamino, Jan Manual, Maricris Garcia and Bryan Benedict.
There is no love scene nor kissing scene but Kristoffer had to wear tight shorts, which he said, felt uncomfortable. We coyly asked him if he felt such because the shorts had to cover something too big. Kristoffer laughed and answered that his shorts were too tight.
There is a potential beauty queen in town.
Filipinas in other countries get more beautiful and taller even if they do not have any foreign blood. Take the case of Marynell (Full name: Maerynella Jenize Alvares Omayam), the eldest of three children of Filipino nurses who work as a caretaker and a domestic helper in London.
Seventeen-year-old Marynell is 5’9” -- and still growing. The Grade 11 student has already won several awards in London, like Miss Charity and Miss Socaltel in Miss London-NABA 2013 and Miss Calendar Girl 2014, where she also bagged the Best in Casual Wear, Miss Charity and Miss Popularity awards. Marynell doesn’t mind joining beauty contests but she said her priority is singing.
Tates Gana and her two children have gone on an extended US vacation.
While there is no truth to the rumor that Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista’s ex partner will leave the country with their two children, Athena and Harvey Bautista, for good, the trio did leave earlier as planned and will return later as expected - June 1, before classes start - instead of the last week of May.
Our classmate Tates is not talking to anyone, meaning the quotes attributed to her are not true. She actually doesn’t have to talk because, as of this moment, Kris Aquino and Mayor Herbert have stopped dating.
Kris is supposedly dating a new guy, not from showbiz.
Jennica Garcia is ready to move on.
There is no stopping Jennica from leaving her original network, GMA, after “Carmela” ends next month. An exclusive Kapuso star for the past seven years, Jennica’s contract was not renewed by the network. This surprised and shocked her. She’d be lying, she said, if she denied she’s hurt.
Jennica admits that as a performer, she’s “limited” to just acting, as she doesn’t sing, dance or even host. Maybe GMA is now looking for all-around talents, she surmised. Hopefully, Jennica moves to TV5, but before that, she can opt to brush up on her skills by enrolling in her manager’s new acting school, the Direk Manny Valera House of Acting and Performing Arts (DMV HAPA) on Scout Magbanua in Quezon City.
