Drew, Iya team up to host ‘People vs. the Stars’

Beginning January 15, Sunday afternoons will never be the same as GMA Network brings one-of-a-kind entertainment to its loyal viewers with its newest comedy game show entitled “People vs. the Stars.”

The program allows celebrities to play for a chance to win two hundred thousand pesos (P200, 000.00) via eight mind-boggling questions with respective cash values. If the stars fail to answer any of the questions correctly, the question’s cash value will be given to the televiewers by answering the “People Question of the Week” through text.

Thrilling and fun-filled, the show features the tandem of the multi-talented celebrity power-couple Drew Arellano and Iya Villania-Arellano.

As a first time mom, Iya shares that she considers this show as her leisure whenever she is not with her son, Primo.

“Actually, this is the first time I will be hosting this kind of show na makulit and entertaining. Natutuwa ako kasi I consider this my rest whenever I am not on my ‘mommy duties’ kay Primo kasi nakakatawa lang talaga dito. It’s as if I don’t work. Plus kasama ko pa asawa ko, so ‘yung fun talaga nandoon,” she said.

Drew is excited that he gets to share hosting duties with his wife.

“Excited ako kasi iba itong show na ito for us kasi more enjoyable and light environment. Hindi siya yung acting like sa mga shows namin 10 years ago. Dito mas makikita nila kung sino kami inside our house, ganun lang talaga,” he said.

“People vs. the Stars” airs every Sunday at 5 p.m. on GMA.
