Congratulations to Representative Florida Perez-Robes of the lone district of San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan for being named as one of the 45 Outstanding Women of the Year by Women’s Journal in celebration of their 45th anniversary.

A BS Psychology graduate of St. Paul’s College, Robes was a beauty contestant (for Mutya ng Pilipinas 1988 but withdrew because of the strict rules against beauty tilts by her school), commercial model (Jollibee and Close-Up Toothpaste) and actress (under Regal Films), and was into road construction and catering business before she married Arthur Robes, the current mayor of San Jose del Monte City.
