The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) opened yesterday the 9.7 kilometers Radial Road 10 stretching from Delpan Bridge, Tondo, Manila to Navotas City.
It is an alternate route to EDSA and C5 for motorists travelling from Quezon City to Manila and Pasay, and will help ease the usual heavy volume of vehicles in these two major roads.
Aside from R-10, DPWH has several projects line up to help decongest the traffic in Metro Manila with a P100 billion budget for this year.
Among the projects are Skyway extension , NLEX-SLEX connector road , Santa Monica bridge from The Fort to Ortigas, bridges across Pasig river , Katipunan viaduct , and Harbour link road from R10 .
The NAIA Expressway project will be in full operation within the first quarter.
